Deep Inside of You and Me by Mark Anthony Lord
Deep inside of you and me,
There lives a Spirit already free.
It’s life is eternal It’s substance is love,
There’s a lie in the world that “it comes from above.”
It knows not of a world filled with struggle and strife,
Or a dual existence of wrong versus right.
Patient as blossoms who’s timing is planned,
The Spirit in you knows the Truth is at hand.
It lives in the moment no future or past,
Not outside or inside no first place or last.
It whispers your name and It calls ceaselessly,
It longs for the moment when there is no “we.”
Come to me sweet person confused,
I’ll answer all questions, I’m here to be used.
I’ll never leave there’s nowhere to go,
Be quiet, be still, let go of your woes.
Deep inside of you and me,
There lives a Spirit already free.
